Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hawkeye (6 years old) and Stormageddon (7 years old) are reserved, quiet cats looking for their forever home!
These bonded sisters love to spend their days lounging on their cat tree, cuddling on the couch, watching the birds and all the outdoor action near them. Hawkeye and Storm also love to relax and sleep on their foster mom's bed. Storm is a bit more reserved than Hawkeye, and prefers to spend more time in their cat room relaxing.
These pretty girls enjoy some wet food in the morning and then will sleep and lounge around during the day. Hawkeye is very active at night, exploring and enjoying the house. Occasionally, she will want to play with a toy and enjoys catnip toys whenever given to her. They both love to lounge on the cat tree together.
Hawkeye and Stormageddon currently live in a home with two adult humans. They are loyal buddies who prefer to stay as a duo; they would do best in a calm, peaceful environment where there are not any other animals besides each other. However, they are receptive to gentle, cat-friendly older children.
It’s important to know that although Hawk and Storm are very reserved cats, they have really blossomed since coming to my home! They have gained trust and now greet me in the morning for pets and a treat!
Both of these beautiful girls have opened up so much and become so much more confident about seeking pets and affection. If you’d like to be a part of these lovely ladies’ journey as they build trust and live their best safe, happy, indoor life, Hawk and Stormageddon are so ready to meet you!
There is no guarantee of age and breed as a rescue animal's history is unknown. All ages and breeds are best estimate. Adoption fees include a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%. All cats have received comprehensive veterinary care and tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV unless otherwise stated.
Cats are up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed/neutered, treated for fleas and/or ear mites, de-wormed, and microchipped. Please note there may be additional follow up visits and boosters that are not covered by Pet Haven after adoption. Interested in adopting or learning more about this cat? Pet Haven is a foster-based rescue. Our animals live with foster families until they are placed in permanent homes and their foster families get to know the dogs and cats learning important information about the animals. For example, the foster family will know if the dog or cat is good with other animals or children, and will have a good idea of what kind of training, attention, and special needs the pet may require. This makes our foster families great resources for potential adopters!

Our Mission
Pet Haven improves the lives of pets and the people who love them by rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming dogs and cats; reducing pet overpopulation by supporting spay and neuter efforts, and providing resources to people that help strengthen the human-animal bond.
Our Vision
A Minnesota where all pets live in safe, loving homes.
Our Values
Excellence in service and care; community; integrity; innovation; perseverance; compassion; a rewarding place to volunteer
How We Help
Spay/Neuter Initiative Program: Providing support to end pet overpopulation in Minnesota
Owner Surrender: Providing a safe haven for pet owners
Foster: Committed to finding forever homes for cats and dogs
Phoenix Fund for Special Needs: Providing veterinary care for animals in need of healing
What We Do
We help dogs and cats find homes with loving families through foster-based care. Every dog and cat lives with a foster family until they find their forever families. We provide all of their basic needs including proper food, veterinary care, behavior training, and supplies.
Through in-home fostering, we learn about each animal’s temperament, personality, likes/dislikes, and any medical needs. With this first-hand information, we can then find the right family for each dog and cat.
Our volunteers also educate the public on responsible companion animal care and represent respect for animals at all times. Whether we’re working with prospective new families, meeting people at public events, or socializing with friends and family, we encourage others to view and treat their pets as members of the family. We are their guardians, and they depend on us for companionship and care.
We spay/neuter prior to adoption.
We microchip all our Pet Haven Pets and remain as a secondary contact.
We make sure all pets are up to date on required vaccinations
We test for Heartworm and Lymes in all our dogs and are transparent in the results and treament
We test for FeLV/FIV and are transparent in the results. We believe that cats who test positive still deserve a chance at a quality home.
We do not euthanize animals unless they have untreatable health or behavioral conditions that deny them an acceptable quality of life or makes them a serious threat to people, other animals, or themselves.
How We Operate
We rely on adoption fees, tax-deductible donations, grants, and special events to keep our rescue operating. Our staff, Board of Directors, and volunteers have provided the passion and commitment to keep Pet Haven a safe haven for animals for almost 70 years.
We are committed to preventing pet homelessness through the SNIP Grant. Since 2005, we have granted more than $240,000 to organizations in Minnesota to support spay/neuter initiatives.
