(DOB 11/01/2018) Charlie, the bundle of fun and energy that’s ready to bring joy to any home! This playful guy is all about having a good time—whether it’s running through the sprinkler on a hot summer day, tipping over his water bowl just to splash around, or imagining what it would be like to swim (we’re sure he’d love it!).
Charlie’s also super smart and knows a lot of commands, making him an eager learner. His cuddles are top-notch, and he’s a master of giving sweet, gentle kisses and deep, loving stares right into your eyes. He’d thrive in a home with a yard, or with an active family who’ll keep him moving if they live in an apartment. He’d make an excellent addition to a family with one or two other dogs, though he’d be just as happy being your one-and-only best buddy. We think he'd do great with kids, too! Charlie is playful, loving, and just plain fun—if you’re looking for a happy, energetic companion, he’s your guy!
Charlie has a big personality in a compact size (~40lbs), especially when it comes to his interest in those other furries called cats! If he spots a cat, he’s very interested in giving chase, so be aware when you are out and about. He is also still mastering walking on a leash and still pulls but working on it. Charlie sleeps in his kennel, and he has a nice cushy bed which he doesn't chew. If you have a fence yard and you let Charlie out to romp, run around, play and goof off, know he loves to dig. Keep him busy otherwise he could get into some mishchief.
Charlie has been good with his foster's female dogs and shows a friendly demeanor toward one of the male dogs. While his previous owner mentioned that he may not get along with all male dogs, it seems he is simply more selective about his canine companions. With the right introductions, Charlie has the potential to form strong bonds with other dogs. He would certainly be happy as an only dog with a family that is fun and full of adventures just like him!
As part of Charlie’s $300 adoption fee, he will be neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. If you have questions about this sweet little boy, you can email Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org. If you wish to adopt Charlie, you can fill in an online application for him under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website: www.pawsforlifenc.org.
