My name is Thunder!

2 year old Rhodesian Ridgeback purebred. Overall, he has been a good dog, companion and he is super sweet. We are too busy, he’s not getting the attention he needs. Breaks my heart but, transparently it has not been a great fit for my young children and he needs someone with free time. He needs room to roam and a yard. He has played well with a German Shepherd and an American Bulldog in the past. He has never been around cats.

He has been ok around my kids, but, due to his size, he is a hazard with them. He is very playful, but, if he knocks them over or jumps on them it is a problem. He is very protective of the kids and does not take well to playful wrestling or if other kids are chasing them. As the kids get older and have more friends over, I have concerns for that.

He would be ideal in a home without kids and someone that can spend a lot of time with him. He is a big dog, so someone that understands that and what to expect.
