My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Puck is a charismatic and independent cat who's looking for a home where he can live life on his own terms. Brought in as a stray, we don't know much about Puck's past, but we do know one thing for sure-he's a true bachelor at heart! Puck prefers to be the only pet in the household, as he's not a fan of other cats or animals. He's a solo act who thrives on attention from his favourite humans, but he's not one to share the spotlight.

Puck can be a little spicy at times, and he's the kind of cat who likes his space and will let you know when he's had enough. That being said, once Puck feels comfortable and trusts you, he can be a total sweetheart. He's a big fan of chin scritches and loves spending time with his people, especially when he's in the mood for affection.

A very chatty cat, Puck will keep you entertained with his vocalizations and unique personality. He's always ready to share his thoughts, whether he's asking for attention or just having a conversation. Puck is looking for a quiet, loving home where he can be the centre of attention and enjoy life on his own terms.

If you're an experienced cat owner who appreciates a cat with a strong sense of independence and a lot of personality, Puck could be your perfect match! Please submit a pre-adoption questionnaire here: https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/cat-pre-adoption-questionnaire/

Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
