My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Aphrodite is a very special little girl. She's strikingly beautiful and exotic, with her spots and stripes and her big ears. And her fur is luxuriously soft. You just can't stop petting her -- which she loves every minute of! This little beauty queen is extremely affectionate and engaged. She's still learning about being picked up, since her former human obviously never did that, but she's getting used to the idea very quickly and has started to enjoy some quality lap time. She'll want to be near you and with you most of the day, and ideally curled up next to you through the night, too.

Aphrodite is very well behaved and good natured. But when she's excited to see you or wants treats, she's very vocal, and in the funniest way -- almost like she's yelling at you, "MORE ATTENTION, PLEASE!" She's so insistent it's hilarious. But when you have a "normal" conversation with her (yes, we cat people consider conversations with our cats normal, LOL), her meows are soft and chirpy, and oh so cute!

Aphrodite is very good with other cats and loves to play and zoom around with them. She also loves her toys and tunnels and rolling-ball pyramid, and the kitty playground in general. She's lively and upbeat and sweet, and an all-around wonderful kitty. Anyone would be extremely lucky to have her!

More about this rescue

Kitten Rescue is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization devoted to finding loving homes for unwanted, homeless cats and kittens. We rescue cats and kittens from the streets of Los Angeles and from City Shelter euthanasia. Since our start in 1997, we have grown into one of the largest, most well-respected animal welfare groups in LA.

Kitten Rescue volunteers adopt out over 2,000 cats and kittens into homes every year. We educate the public about responsible pet guardianship, how to care for kittens and cats, and the importance of spaying and neutering. Kitten Rescue makes educational material available via events, print, school presentations and here on our website. We also provide Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) assistance for communities in and around Los Angeles, and teach people how to manage and care for feral cat colonies.
