My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Constance the Cuddler
Meet Constance, the 2.5 yo gorgeous gentle giant of a girl, St Bernard/Great Pyrenees mix. She was pulled from San Marcos shelter where they were planning to euthanize her because she wasn’t eating & was extremely depressed. Once into her foster’s home, she quickly came out of her shell, put on 20-25#, and began puppy pouncing & zoomies. She has a gentle mouth, loves humans of all sizes, dogs of all sizes & even gets along with cats. Her crate is her refuge, but blankets only as any beds will be gleefully shredded! Her fur is regrowing although she hasn’t yet achieved full “floof potential”. This sweetheart of a gal is ready for her “furever” home.
Extra Attributes:
Loves children (she is very gentle despite her size)
Loves car rides
$200 Local Fee (in Texas)
$450 Out of State Fee (includes transportation to your area.)

Additional adoption info

Adoption application required.

Adoptions applications are checked by contacting references and veterinarians of those with pets to ensure our pups go to the best homes possible. We work hard to place dogs into the right families, but sometimes we realize the fit isn't quite working out for the adopter or the pet..

If an adoption does not work out and we have room to take the dog back into the rescue, we will. However, the sheer number of needy animals in TX usually means we become full quickly after the dog is adopted. So, in those cases we will post the animal locally, and help the adopter screen applicants and facilitate finding another adoptive home for the pet in your area.

Go meet their pets

We are a TEXAS based rescue who transport regularly to this area. Our dogs are in TEXAS and will be transported to you if you adopt from us.

Our pets are posted on our website, and most live in homes with their fosters. We live with our foster dogs to get to know them in a home setting and to let them know that life can be good away from the streets.

We work to correct poor behaviors, teach manners and observe each dogs particular quirks and personalities so we can give accurate observations of the dogs you are interested in.

We know that dogs will sometimes behave differently with different people but we can give you our impressions of our pups and situations they have been in.
