Meet Aspen: The Winter Wonder Pup!
Aspen is an 8 week old Labrador Retriever mix who’s ready to brighten up your winter days with her playful spirit and snuggly nature! Abandoned with her sister Alpine on the side of the road when they were just three weeks old, Aspen was given a second chance at life thanks to a caring rescue and a fantastic foster family. Now, she’s on the lookout for her forever home, and she’s as cute as a snowflake!
With her big puppy paws and a heart full of love, Aspen is the perfect combination of cuddly and adventurous. She adores snuggling into laps and can turn any chilly day into a cozy experience, acting as your very own living heated blanket. Whether she’s frolicking in the yard or curling up for a movie marathon, Aspen is happiest when she’s by your side, bringing warmth and joy to every moment.
Aspen’s daily routine is filled with play, naps, and lots of love. She rises bright and early for morning playtime with her sister and the resident dog, ensuring everyone in the house starts the day with a smile. After ample playtime and delicious meals, she’s always ready for more cuddles, proving that she’s a true sweetheart at heart.
This little winter princess would thrive in an active home or one that loves quiet snuggles just as much. She’s been socialized with dogs of all ages and sizes, and she’s eager to learn and grow in a loving environment. If you’re ready to create magical winter memories with Aspen, your adventure starts now!
Daily Routine: Aspen and Alpine, the dynamic duo, wake up around 7:00 AM, ready to embrace the day! They head outside for some energetic playtime with their big foster sister, followed by breakfast after an hour of frolicking. Their meals consist of a mix of canned and dry puppy food, served three times a day. This playful pattern continues throughout the day, with plenty of naps and cuddles in between. At night, they sleep together in a cozy pen, either in a bed or an open crate, dreaming of their next adventure.
Personality Changes: When Aspen and Alpine first arrived, they were a bit unsure, missing their mom and littermates. However, they quickly adapted to the warmth, food, and love they received. Now, Alpine is the curious explorer, always ready to chase her foster sister around the yard, while Aspen is the ultimate cuddle bug, always seeking closeness and reassurance.
Interactions with Other Dogs: They have been raised with a big foster sister and are comfortable around dogs of all sizes. As they are friendly and well-socialized joining kids and cats in a new home should be a no-brainer.
Playfulness and Energy: Both pups are relaxed yet playful, engaging in fun without being overly energetic. They enjoy playtime but also appreciate their downtime, making them great companions for a variety of home environments.
Housetraining and Behaviors: Aspen and Alpine are learning their housetraining skills and are mostly successful when given ample outside breaks. While Alpine can be a little nibbly when she wants attention, Aspen is not much of a chewer, and neither dog is particularly vocal.
Ideal Home: The perfect home for Aspen and Alpine would be ones that provides plenty of attention and companionship. Ideally, they should go to homes where Aspen can enjoy lap time and Alpine can continue her outdoor adventures.
Favorite Moments: One of the best things about fostering Aspen and Alpine is witnessing their loving relationship. They look to each other as their safe haven, creating a heartwarming dynamic that’s a joy to be a part of and knowing that love will help them flourish in their individual homes.
Aspen is only an option for homes who have owned a dog in the last 5 years. Kids should be over the age of 6.
