Alpine is an 8 week old Labrador Retriever mix who’s ready to walk in a winter wonderland with her forever people! Alpine and her sister, Aspen, were surrendered to our rescue at only three weeks old. They were found abandoned on the side of the road all alone. We stepped in to save their lives and one of our amazing foster homes raised them from there. Now, they’re all grown up and ready to find forever homes of their own. We expect the girls to be in the medium-larger size range when they reach their adult weights. Look at those paws! If you’re ready for a frosty friend, look no further than Alpine!

Alpine is a happy, playful girl who loves exploring the world around her. She is super curious and is always looking for the next leaf to pounce on or blade of grass to nibble on. She’s always zooming across the yard as she follows the large resident dog, getting all her puppy energy out. Once she’s tuckered herself out, she’s ready to climb into your lap for all the cuddles she can soak up! Alpine would be a perfect addition to a home ready to take on their adventure bucket list but would be just as happy to curl up on the couch and enjoy a movie marathon. As long as she’s by your side, she’s as happy as a snowman in the wintertime! Alpine would thrive in a home where she gets all the love and attention she deserves. Nothing less than the very best for our winter princess! We can’t wait to see all the adventures you tackle with this adorable gal by your side!

Alpine wakes up around 7 AM and goes outside for some morning playtime with her sister and the resident dog. After an hour of play, they come inside for a nap before they eat their breakfast. They repeat this pattern for much of the day, eating again at 12 PM and 5 PM. They get lots of snuggles and pets during the day, as it is almost impossible to resist their adorable puppy dog eyes. In the evening, the girls play more inside before they head into their pen for the night.

Alpine has been raised with dogs of all ages and sizes. She would be an amazing addition to a home with a resident dog or as a solo dog. Interested homes should be prepared to discuss their plans for continued training and socialization as she is still a growing puppy! If you’re ready for some winter wonderland magic this holiday season, you won’t find a cuter pal than Alpine!

Alpine is only an option for homes who have owned a dog in the last 5 years. Kids should be over the age of 6.

More about this rescue

We are passionate folks who love dogs and love people! We strive to make the most appropriate match between human and canine. Because our dogs live in foster homes we know about their temperament and personality and therefore can help families and individuals decide if the dog is a good match or not. We are excited to help people find the right pooch for them and look forward to meeting great folks and welcoming them into the DPS Family.
