Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sombra is a sweet girl. She has a few pounds to lose. She is 28 pounds and needs to be about 15 according to our vet. I think her weight may be from too much kibble and table food. We started cutting back on her portions immediately.
She likes to go on walks and can do 1/8-1/4 miles without going into distress. Sombra has a grade 2 in heart disease. At this time no medication is needed. With weight loss and walking activities, she should be fine.
Sombra had litters in her previous life. She has been spayed for almost a year. She seems very healthy considering her weight. She gets excited and will try to play with the other dogs. She loves big dogs and is very comfortable around them. She is well behaved when getting a bath. She doesn’t respond to her name. She appears to have hearing loss. When I clap she will come running. Hand motions will be important moving forward with her forever home.
Her forever home should have someone there most of the time. She will need a fenced or walled yard to explore. She will need someone who is committed to getting the weight off of her and keeping it off. Due to hearing loss she will need to see you for hand commands. She will make a wonderful companion.
