My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

What my friends at ACC say about me:

I am looking for a home with a patient person.

I can be slow to adjust to new environments. I prefer to take things at my own pace.

I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe.

Fleur tolerates attention and petting but appears fearful or stressed in the shelter. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. We recommend this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents. Due to the behavior shown, he may not be a great fit for young children.

A volunteer writes: To be super specific, Fleur really wants a family. Initially found in a hole outside, he tried to invite him inside because that's just where he wants to be. While the Care Center is inside, it's not exactly what he wished for and he's not loving it. Since coming to us, Fleur has shown an interest in treats and with some gentle encouragement will come forward to sniff and snack. As far as pets and cuddles go, he's less sure but we can't blame him for that. The Care Center can be a lot and we know that Fleur is someone who prefers to take the lead when making new friends. With Fleur's brief stay inside a home, we learned that he's curious about his surroundings and was reportedly friendly and outgoing with the resident dog. We know that a forever family is out there for this guy and we hope he gets his chance at a forever family soon.
