Ghost and Slick were caught under a house in November with 2 of their brothers. They are bonded so they MUST be adopted TOGETHER!
Ghost got his name because until he was comfortable in the house he would always hide. Now he is super sweet, and likes to snuggle, with both people and other kitties. He likes the home to be quieter - he will snuggle with the kids, but only when things are calmer and quieter. He loves his kitty brothers, and is always snuggling or playing with one of them. While he doesn’t love the big German Shepherd in his foster home, he is slowly getting closer to her and generally not hiding or running from her. His favorite toy is a simple shoe string, but will play with other cat toys and the laser. Ghost recently discovered the fish in the fish tank, and he loves to sit and watch the fish swimming! He also likes to sit in the big window watching the world from the safety of being inside.
Slick is super sweet and loves to snuggle and give kisses, purring the whole time! He got his name from his constant attempts to slip out of the cage they were in for the first few days. Slick snuggles ALL of his people, the 10 and 8 year olds included, and of course he loves to snuggle with his kitty siblings. He loves to chase a laser pointer with his brothers, but prefers a simple shoe string. He is hesitant around the German Shepherd in his foster home, but he no longer hides from her. One of his favorite spots to sit is on top of the 5 foot tall cat tower and look out the windows to watch the world go by. He has been the best boy since his foster family we brought him home!

We have an adoption application to learn a bit about the home our cats will be going to and the family's motivation for adoption and expectations about pet ownership. We also have an adoption contract, which includes a no declawing and indoor-only clause along with a vet promissory note that ensures you will continue with the medical care and spay/neuter if needed.
We DO NOT do any out of state adoptions except on the NC border on a case-by-case basis.
We require a donation of $120 for adoption of unaltered kittens with a PTV Contract. All kittens receive vaccine series and wormings as well as medical treatment as needed. The adopter is responsible for obtaining their rabies vaccine and spay/neuter if the kitten is not of age at the time of adoption. We can provide resources for low cost clinics that offer these services.
We ask a donation of $25 to adopt Career/barn cats.
We require a donation of at least $140 for adoption of Spayed/neutered cat.
Bonded pairs adoption donation is $200.
Sometimes we require rental checks or home inspections. We always have a Meet n Greet to make sure everyone gets along. We encourage bringing the whole family!

More about this rescue
Our mission is to improve the lives of displaced cats and reduce feral cat population in Hampton Roads by socializing outdoor-born and feral kittens for adoption into loving forever homes. We are a VDACS registered 501c3 nonprofit, founded in 2014 with over 60 foster homes.
Our heart is in TNR (Trap, Neuter, Return of ferals), where cats are fixed, vaccinated, ear tipped, and allowed to live out their lives without reproducing. We are advocates for advancing legal and social acceptance of TNR in Hampton Roads. Our unique feral kitten socialization program has a 90% success rate in socializing feral-born kittens to become loving, in-home pets.
We are always seeking fosters, volunteers, transporters, and trappers to join our team!
We also appreciate donations! Find our most needed items
