Rascal is a 12 year old male cat who loves to be independent most of the time but will take every opportunity to jump in your lap while on the couch for some pets. He is very sweet, isn't very vocal except at mealtime, and loves his porch time each day to bask in the sun.
He does not do well with other pets, whether that is cats or dogs, which I have learned firsthand and why I am needing to rehome him. I adopted him nearly 2 years ago after his previous owner passed away and he made a great companion until I adopted a second cat, thinking he needed a friend, and has shown he can be territorial.
Ideally, Rascal's new home will have no other pets and a family or owner that is understanding of his laziness as a senior cat but also willing to love on him on his own terms when he joins on the couch or in the bed. Along with Rascal and his kennel, I will also provide his litter box and some litter, a few toys he likes, and some cans of food that he prefers.
