My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

What my friends at ACC say about me:

My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet!

I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe.

I would do best in a home without very tiny humans, although I could be open to older human children once I meet them.

I love getting pets and - you guessed it - snuggles!

I'm ready to learn! I need a patient person who has the time to work on training with me.

A volunteer writes: Snickerdoodle is brimming with personality and we absolutely love her! When we approach her kennel, she is so excited to come out with us, relieved it's her turn for a walk and ready to play, play, play! With her festive attitude, it's only fitting that we dress her in a Christmas tree cloak and she looks both adorable and ridiculous as she makes her own games with the holiday toys we give her. What little of her tail that shows under the costume swishing at lightning speeds. She's a happy girl, and that joy is contagious so she leaves us all smiling ear to ear, including herself.

Though we don't know much about her past, she has shown us that she loves treats, preferring to catch them in the air. She plays fetch with plush toys, often prancing them around in her mouth. She readily solicits petting with head rubs and propping herself onto handler's laps. And, she has done well with other dogs, offering playbows, loose body, and lots of bouncy play, though at times she has difficulty reading other dogs' body language cues. Snickerdoodle is available to an active home with older kids who have some experience. She is spayed and ready for all of your upcoming holiday festivities! Ask to meet her!
