My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Age: 3 years
Weight: 22.5kg

A bit about Lady:
- Unknown history with kids; all interactions should be supervised by an adult
- Unknown history with cats and other small animals; all introductions should be done slowly over a period of time and all interactions supervised by an adult
- Unknown history with other dogs; potential for select dog in home pending successful introduction

Greetings from Lady, the adorable Shepard mix looking for her furever home. This playful spirit loves to play a good game of tug and loves having toys galore! As such, she would thrive in a home that can help her release some of that energy. Lady hasn`t had much experience with dogs, but may do well in a home with a furry friend to help her gain confidence, pending a successful introduction. Does this sound like the lovely lady for you? Come meet her at the Calgary Humane Society today!

More about this shelter

CONNECTING LIVES SINCE 1922

From our earliest beginning, Calgary Humane Society was more than a shelter. As Calgary’s first-established animal welfare organization, connecting the lives of animals and people while providing essential animal services to the community remains our central priority.

Today, Calgary Humane Society (CHS) shelters almost 5,000 homeless animals each year. In 1922 we set out to help as many animals as we can and we will continue to do so by fostering the values of respect, compassion, commitment, teamwork, integrity and innovation.

Our mission is to help as many animals as we can.

Our vision is using innovative strategies to lead, inspire, and educate in the humane treatment of companion animals, fostering an enlightened community that consistently demonstrates respect and compassion for all animals.

Our dream is a community where animals are valued, humanely treated, and live enriched lives.

Calgary Humane Society is committed to creating a better tomorrow through education and collaboration.
