Meet Indigo, an 8-month-old brown and white tabby with a wild spirit and a cautious heart. Indigo came to the shelter in a feral trap, initially trying to make quick darts out of her kennel in an attempt to escape. After a day to cool off, staff were able to approach her for her intake exam, where she allowed slow and gentle handling, showing that with patience, she could learn to trust.
Though she still tries to dart out of her kennel, Scarlet has never attempted to bite or swat, demonstrating that while she’s wary, she’s not aggressive. Observant and calm, she spends her days taking in the world around her, quietly absorbing all the sights and sounds.
Because of her semi-social nature, Indigo would do best in a home with experienced cat owners who understand her wild instincts. She’s a natural hunter at heart and would thrive in an environment where she can help protect her new family’s home from pests. If you’re ready to give this independent, observant girl the space and patience she needs, she’ll reward you with her quiet companionship and unique spirit.
