My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Lucky, the sweetest and most lovable 1-year-old daddy chow who is ready to start a new chapter in his life! Lucky spent his early years as a breeding dog, but now he’s ready for a life filled with relaxation, love, and attention. Despite his past, Lucky has the friendliest, most gentle nature. He’s a total sweetheart who loves meeting new people and is eager to make up for lost time with belly rubs, treats, and cozy naps in the sun.

This adorable guy may have a calm, laid-back demeanor, but he’s also curious and enjoys exploring the world at his own pace. Lucky is looking for a peaceful home where he can unwind and experience the joy of being spoiled and cared for. He gets along well with other dogs and has a heart full of love for anyone who shows him kindness.

Lucky’s ideal forever home is one where he can take his time to relax and feel safe, whether it’s lounging on the couch or going for slow walks around the neighborhood. He deserves a life full of comfort, attention, and the pampering that every dog should experience. If you're looking for a loyal, calm, and affectionate companion to join your family, Lucky could be the perfect fit.

Come meet Lucky today, and let him show you just how sweet and loving he is! He can’t wait to find his forever home.

Additional adoption info

Find the pet for you at the Adoption Center:
Angels of Assisi’s adoption center is open from 12-6pm, 7 days a week. Adoption Specialists and Volunteer Ambassadors are eager to help you find the pet that would fit best in your family.

Adoptable Pets in Foster Homes:
Some of our available pets are currently in foster homes. If an animal is currently in a foster home, it is noted in the animal's biography online. To meet a pet in foster care, please fill out a non-binding adoption application, and the foster parent will contact you to schedule a meet and greet once the application has been approved (generally within 24 hours).

Found the perfect addition to your family? Now what?
The next step is to fill out an adoption application. You can complete and application online (preferred) or stop by the adoption center to fill out a paper application. Adopters must be 18 years of age or older. If you rent your home, we will need to contact your landlord or see a copy of your lease to verify the pet policy. Most applications can be approved within 24-48 hours.

Taking Your New Pet Home
After paying the adoption fee and pending the approval of your application, you may take your new pet home immediately. Adoption fees may vary and can be found on our website at:
