My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Isaac!

Isaac is a playful and loving 5-month-old pup with a heart of gold and a wagging tail that never stops! With his beautiful eyes and unique coloring, he's quite a handsome feller! He will be a large dog (>50 lbs).

He is medium to high energy, so he's always up for an adventure but is happy to cuddle up on the couch for some quality time also. He loves to run through the woods on hikes and does great with other dogs. He will need an adopter who is committed to getting him sufficient exercise with daily walks.

Isaac is treat motivated and has already learned to sit for treats and will quickly pick up other commands if taught. He's a quick study and loves to please. He is potty trained-using a doggy door for outside access when he needs to use the bathroom.

Isaac has been neutered, microchipped, and is up to date on all his vaccines. If you're looking for an amazing furry friend, he may be the perfect pup for you!

More about this rescue

A New Leash on Life has a goal of saving all the adoptable pets about to die in the municipal shelters of Alabama until we become a NO KILL state. We rescue, provide veterinary care, provide a foster home or adoption center spot, and find adopters who are good matches for homeless dogs and cats...AND horses, pigs, rabbits, and any other animal who needs our help. All animals are fully vetted, including spay/neuter, microchip, vaccines, testing (HW for dogs, FIV/Felv for cats), and whatever else they need before adoption.
