My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Cindy Lou, a charming 3-year-old orange and white tabby with a big personality and an even bigger heart! This confident and curious girl is a true lap cat who adores being the center of attention and will soak up all the love you can give.

Cindy Lou is as cuddly as she is social, making her the perfect feline best friend. While she gets along with other cats, she thrives when she knows she’s the star of the show. Whether she’s part of a multi-cat household or your one-and-only, Cindy Lou simply asks for the attention and affection she so richly deserves. She’s a confident kitty who knows what she wants and isn’t afraid to let you know it!

Surrendered by her previous owner due to time constraints, Cindy Lou is ready to shine in her new forever home. Her delightful charm and loving nature will bring endless joy and companionship to her lucky adopter.

If you’re searching for a confident, cuddly, and captivating companion, Cindy Lou is the one for you. Adopt her today and let her light up your life!

Cindy Lou is currently at our PetSmart location on Woodward. If you are interested in meeting her, please send a message here, or email adopt@ahsem.org.

Additional adoption info

AHSEM treats every adoption as "foster to adopt" This means that the first two weeks in which you have the cat is the "foster period." We do our best to ensure the right match for all involved and want to give the cat(s) time to decompress and adapt to their new environment. However, we realize sometimes things don't work out as expected. Therefore, during that two-week period, if something doesn’t work out you can bring the cat back. We will always take our cats back even after the "foster to adopt" period. We would hate to see them end up at a kill shelter, abandoned, or any other unsafe situation.
