Are you ready to have a new shadow around the house? Look no further than Batty. He loves to shadow his people, which means he follows them around the house and sits nearby so he is never too far from them. He loves to be scratched and will arch his tail as high as possible to lean into a good scratch. He is not the biggest fan of being carried around, but he absolutely loves to come lay on or next to his people and sleep next to them in the bed. He is an absolute sweetheart of a cat. Batty is good with cats, kids, and respectful dogs. He must be adopted with one if his siblings (Rooster, Jackal, or Lily Munster) as he is very attached to them. Since we make a lifetime commitment to any animal that comes into our program, we only adopt out animals to people in our area..

If you are interested in adopting a CAWS cat or dog, please fill out the online application at http://www.caws.org/application/, email adopt@caws.org or call 328-4731. For the most timely response applying online is recommended.

We respond as quickly as possible but as we are a volunteer based organization and do not have full time staff, we respond as quickly as possible.

CAWS does not have a conventional shelter facility - all CAWS animals waiting for adoption are in foster homes. The number of animals we can help find new homes for is closely linked to how many CAWS foster homes are available. CAWS volunteers bring cats and dogs to the PetSmart near 2100 South and 300 West in South Salt Lake on the third and fourth weekends of each month

We are also at the Sugarhouse PETCO (1165 Wilmington Ave) the first Saturday of each month.
