Meet Jackal, the prettiest fluffy orange tabby boy. Jackal is very playful and cuddly. He loves to be near people, and easily falls asleep in their arms while they are petting him. He likes to sleep on the bed, but also enjoys the cat tower or other beds where he can catch a ray of sunshine. Jackal must be adopted out with his siblings (Rooster, Batty, or Lily Munster) as he is very attached and cries for them if he is separated and does not have one of them for company. Jackal is good with cats, kids, and respectful dogs. He is a sweet boy who would make an awesome new best friend. Since we make a lifetime commitment to any animal that comes into our program, we only adopt out animals to people in our area..

If you are interested in adopting a CAWS cat or dog, please fill out the online application at http://www.caws.org/application/, email adopt@caws.org or call 328-4731. For the most timely response applying online is recommended.

We respond as quickly as possible but as we are a volunteer based organization and do not have full time staff, we respond as quickly as possible.

CAWS does not have a conventional shelter facility - all CAWS animals waiting for adoption are in foster homes. The number of animals we can help find new homes for is closely linked to how many CAWS foster homes are available. CAWS volunteers bring cats and dogs to the PetSmart near 2100 South and 300 West in South Salt Lake on the third and fourth weekends of each month

We are also at the Sugarhouse PETCO (1165 Wilmington Ave) the first Saturday of each month.
