My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Lulu and I am ready for my forever home. I was rescued from a kitty colony with my brothers but they have already been adopted. I would be considered a cats cat as I am not the best at letting humans pick me up, it is a little scary still even though I am older. Despite this, I do love being in close proximity to my humans and love to give my foster family slow blinks. I like to share their food too, so sometimes I will get close and hope that I can have a bit of chicken or steak. I love to lounge in the sunshine and snuggle up to other kitties. I would love to be adopted with Mei Mei, my foster sister, but if you have another friendly kitty at home who needs a companion, I would love to be considered. I am a quiet and independent girl and I am very well behaved. Would you give me the chance of a safe and quiet home where I can come out of my shell and be the best forever kitty? Additional adoption info

Since we make a lifetime commitment to any animal that comes into our program, we only adopt out animals to people in our area..

If you are interested in adopting a CAWS cat or dog, please fill out the online application at http://www.caws.org/application/, email adopt@caws.org or call 328-4731. For the most timely response applying online is recommended.

We respond as quickly as possible but as we are a volunteer based organization and do not have full time staff, we respond as quickly as possible.

Go meet their pets

CAWS does not have a conventional shelter facility - all CAWS animals waiting for adoption are in foster homes. The number of animals we can help find new homes for is closely linked to how many CAWS foster homes are available. For additional information regarding how you, too, can become a foster, please see our fostering page located on our web site!

CAWS volunteers bring cats and dogs to the PetSmart near 2100 South and 300 West in South Salt Lake on the third and fourth weekends of each month

We are also at the Sugarhouse PETCO (1165 Wilmington Ave) the first Saturday of each month.
