My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

~~Although we do our very best to make sure your new pup is in tiptop health before adoption, things could drastically change a month later.  Since we don’t have a long health history of your adopted dog, we can only treat the pet for whatever symptoms present during the initial exam and follow up exams.~

Health: ***** No obvious health issues found during vet exam *****

Temperament: Are you ready to meet the cutest bundle of love? Say hello to Leela! This sweet girl is not just a pretty face; she’s a loving companion who’s ready to bring joy to your life.

Leela is a quick learner and has already mastered the commands “sit” and “lay down.” She’s even figured out how to ask for some love—when she wants to be picked up, she’ll sit right in front of you, melting your heart in an instant!

After spending years in a crate, Leela is adjusting beautifully to life outside of confinement. She stays overnight in an ex-pen, where she has learned to potty on fake grass or pee pads. During the day, she enjoys going outside every two hours and is making great strides in her potty training. Just keep an eye on her inside the house as she’s still learning the ropes!

Leela loves nothing more than snuggling up next to you, whether it’s on the bed or the sofa, after being raised in a crate. She’s a social girl who enjoys the company of other dogs, although they tend to keep to themselves. With a little encouragement, she’s learned to walk on a leash and absolutely loves her daily walks.

One of Leela’s favorite things in the world is a tasty treat, especially a sliver of sweet potato! After doing her business outside, she’ll dash into the kitchen, ready for her reward. She also has a playful side and adores squeaky toys—just be prepared; she may go through a few!

If you're looking for a loving, playful companion who is eager to learn and grow, Leela is the perfect match for you. Don’t miss out on the chance to adopt this sweet girl and show her what a loving forever home looks like!

Additional adoption info

Please allow up to 72 hours for a response.

Adopting one of our dogs requires that you fill out an adoption application, have your references checked, and let us visit your home.

The required minimum adoption donation is $250. That amount covers the spay/neuter, annual vaccinations, heartworm testing, and one month of heart worm preventative.

We spend about $300.00 just to treat the pommies that are heartworm positive. We have invested more than $1000.00 in several of our pommies--treating them and kenneling them. Kenneling cost $16 a day per dog. We need foster homes!
