Max is a very smart loving dog that just needs a home with either a job to do or a very active family. he is estimated to be five years old, but he acts and looks a lot younger. my dad has gotten old and his health is declining, and we have not been able to provide him with the adequate amount of time. he would love to go to a farm with larger cattle, just no chickens because they excite him a bit too much. He is very smart and picks up on tricks very quickly, in our short time with him he has learned sit, lay down, shake, and wait. he loves playing with other dogs at the dog park, and did okay living with our dog but did have some jealousy issues and would likely be happier not in a two dog home. he has never tried to hurt our cats but does obsessively try to herd them, as is common with the breed. Fun fact, Max absolutely adores swimming! if you're looking for a loyal hiking buddy or a smart farm dog please consider Max ♥
