My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Daisy is an adorable black-and-white mix, 10 months old and 47 pounds. She will not get much bigger. She was rescued from a high-kill shelter and is ready to find her forever home. Check out her video from the shelter to see how much she’s blossomed!

Daisy is fully house-trained, sleeps like a champion, and is comfortable in a kennel. She’s super social, loves people and dogs, and thrives on companionship. She’s food-motivated, smart, and very trainable, already answering to her name and knowing commands like sit, fetch, and come. Daisy eats in her kennel and patiently waits to come out after meals, feeling most secure when her kennel is partially covered.

Her past life may have been tough—she seems to have been someone’s pet but shows signs of harsh treatment. She’s easily startled by stern corrections, retreating to her kennel for comfort. She needs a patient adopter to build her confidence and provide gentle guidance.

Daisy has plenty of puppy energy and is a super chewer, so durable toys are a must. She’s learning to respect boundaries with dogs and which items are off-limits, like shoes. She sleeps well in her foster’s room with other dogs and is very well-behaved.

Affectionate, smart, and full of potential, Daisy is everything you could want in a companion. Apply at bcaaofnj.org to give her the loving home she deserves!

Submitting an application is always our first step - it's free to apply! bcaaofnj.org

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process starts with the applicant filling out an adoption application for the pet they are interested in. When they have completed and submitted the application, the screening process is started, which consists of a vet check, phone interview and home visit. Once all the steps are completed, we determine, by our findings, if they are approved, and if so, then they are allowed to adopt from our organization. The final step is they must complete the adoption contract, along with the donation for the animal, which goes into our medical fund to defray their medical costs. All of our animals are spayed and neutered, up to date on all their shots, including rabies, they are parasite free and on heartworm preventative.

More about this rescue

We are the Burlington County Animal Alliance (BCAA)located in Central New Jersey. We are a non-profit organization 501(3)(c), all volunteer rescue that saves animals from our local shelter and surrounding areas of New Jersey that are in danger of being euthanized. We take them into our program, get them the necessary medical care they need and adopt them back out to loving forever homes. We have 60 volunteers, many that open their homes to foster the homeless animals, we do fundraisers to raise money so we can continue to save the dogs and cats in need. We run strictly on donations from our adoptions and people who support our work.BCAA adopts to families in New Jersey, parts of Southeastern Pennsylvania and parts of New York.
