What is Rehome?
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Meet Willa! We have made the difficult decision to rehome our recently adopted dog through no fault of her own, due to family issues. Willa is a beautiful, playful love bug who is estimated to be around 2 years old and a Pointer mix. We adopted her in November from the Austin Animal Center where she became a volunteer favorite and roomed with several other dogs during her time there. We have no idea what her life was before AAC, but we do know she is crate and house trained, is gentle with our young child and respectful of our older chihuahua. She is smart, knows sit, paw, and touch. She needs some guidance and patience to learn not to jump on her people or counters, and she has understandably not been able to settle down at times as she decompresses. We think an experienced dog owner or a family with another dog to show her the ropes of your home would be ideal for her. She is 41 lbs, was spayed in May 2024, is up to date on shots and flea/tick/heartworm prevention.
