My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I’m Jack! I'm a super sweet 1 year old boy who was rescued from Colonna's Shipyard in September. I was reacclimated to a new location and after several weeks of routine visits for dinner, I started getting closer and closer to the friendly lady feeding me, but I would never get close enough for her to touch me. Thank goodness she knew deep down I wanted to be in warm home with all the love and snuggles. I refused to go in the trap but she got creative to capture me and now I am finally inside living the life I deserve!

I am such a good boy - even the vet was impressed with how sweet I am! I'm good with kids and other cats as long as everybody is gentle with me! I'm still very timid and shy and want to be in a quiet, calm environment, so it may be best to be in a home with older kids. This whole indoor life is new to me, and I do love it so much, but I'm still learning.

I love pets! So much so that I sometimes start purring before you even start petting me. Oh and my purr is the cutest! I also love to sit in your lap and tuck my face into your arm. I am still learning how to play with toys and am not too sure about them just yet, but my foster mom can tell I've been playing with some of my toys in the middle of the night based on the way they are rearranged in the room when she checks on me first thing in the morning. I love my hideaway house so much! It's where I nap so I would love a home that provides me with one of those. My foster mom also suspects I'd love a cat tree since I like to get on her desk all the time and sleep.

I love wet food, dry food, and treats. I don't think I can live without any of them now that I have been spoiled! The first night I was released, my foster mom assumed I would only want dry food from that point forward, but after checking her cameras that night, it was very clear that I was walking around looking for the wet food and I waited and waited for that option before I finally just ate the dry food. Every night since then I got wet food, and now that I'm indoors I get wet food twice a day! I'm so lucky! I do still love my dry food throughout the day though and I will gobble up all the treats you give me! I love it all!

Are you ready for a sweet, little love bug that will melt your heart? I'm your guy and I'm really hoping I will find my forever humans!
