My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rowan is a sweet Bully mix that came into the shelter a rack of bones with a skin infection. She has put on some weight and her skin has healed. No chicken for her. Rowan now weighs 30 pounds and is spayed and up to date on shots. Rowan is good with dogs, cats, kids, chickens, ducks you name it. She is also housebroken. She went to a very busy Thanksgiving event and was an angel. Rowan will be in Maine on 12/7 looking for her family. She will be fostered in Lewiston.

Adoption fee is $450

More about this rescue

Passion for Pets Rescue (PPR) is a non-profit (501c3), insured and state licensed rescue, run by volunteers. We are a small group of like minded folks with big hearts. PPR does not have an actual shelter, all of our dogs are either in foster homes in Maine or with our Southern partners in Mississippi.

PPR covers all medical expenses. The majority of the dogs we rescue require immediate veterinary care. Skin infections and internal parasites are common occurrences. We pay for all spay & neuter surgeries. PPR makes sure all dogs are given age appropriate vaccinations, as well as, preventative medication for Heartworm and external parasites.
Please contact us if you would like to help foster, transport, fundraise or volunteer.
