My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello there! 👋 My name’s Abby, what’s yours??

I’m a 9 lb, 5 year old Chihuahua who is looking for my forever family. I was a local surrender when my family moved and could not take me along 😢. But I have so much more love to give! ❤️

I’m such a snuggly pup, who will take all the pets, kisses and belly rubs I can get!! And don’t worry, I’ll nudge your hand and let you know when I want more 😂 I’ll even hop up and down on my back legs - I’m a really good dancer!!

I’m working on my potty training and walk great on the leash. ⭐️ Now, I am a bit skittish when meeting new people. It takes me a while to warm up and know I’m safe. And nothing against men, but they scare me at first too. But with patience and TLC, I’ll let them love me too! 🥰 I am great with other dogs and cats!

So what do you say?? Apply to meet me today and let’s get this cuddle party started!! 🐾

Additional adoption info

Each pet that is available for adoption is in a foster home for a minimum of 2 weeks after being rescued. This allows the animal to decompress and show their true personality, which in turn helps us find their best match.

Adoption application

Go meet their pets

Visit https://operationfreedomride.com/ and click "available pets" to see who is available for adoption.

Periodically we have adoption events around the greater Rochester, NY area; however, we largely rely on the application process to best match people/families with available pets and then set-up a meet and greet to make sure it's a great match before finalizing the adoption.
