A23878 Pickles is a brown and white colored, approximately 1-year-old, 39-pound, neutered male, Pitbull.
He entered the shelter as an owner surrender on 11-22-2024 due to the fact he did not get along with her other dog.
Pickles is a friendly, but timid and shy boy here at the shelter. Our staff says he is very friendly, loves affection and cuddles. He is trying to figure out this shelter environment and a little unsure right now. He was easy to leash and very well behaved during our walks. He trots along next to you very nicely. He has had some training and will “sit” upon command. He is eager to please and really listens when you are with him. He just needs some reassurance right now. He has no interest in other dogs here at the shelter, even seems a little scared. A meet and greet is suggested if you have another dog in the home. Pickles will be a loving, loyal family member in his new forever home.

Meet and greets with your family dog and shelter dog is encouraged. Dog and cat meet and greets are not allowed.

$80 for all kitten/cat adoptions. $90 for all puppy/dog adoptions. $35 for all rabbit adoptions.

Additional adoption info

The shelter is open to the public Monday through Saturday from 9:00am to 5:00pm, with adoptions closing at 4:30pm. The shelter is closed on Sundays and all government observed holidays.

City of Henderson Animal Care and Control is the only open admission animal shelter in the City of Henderson. We service the City of Henderson and the residents and animals within city limits. Our goal is to find forever homes for all adoptable animals and reunite pets with their people. We work with multiple rescue groups and allow any good adoptee to adopt from our shelter.
