My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I'm a sweet and loving girl who can't wait to find my forever family! I'll be ready to go home after 12/22. Here's a little about me:

I came from a reservation with my mom and brother. We didn't have a family to care for us, so we had to survive on our own. Thankfully, Northern Lakes Rescue took us in because they knew we deserved a chance at a better life. My foster mom calls me Lizzie (because she can never remember how to pronounce Alize!), and I'm approximately 12-13 weeks old.

I'm still learning all the important things, like potty training and walking on a leash. I don't quite understand what a leash is yet, but I'm excited to figure it out with some practice! I do know that I love naps in my kennel-it's my cozy, safe spot. But when I'm awake, I'm all about playtime! Toys and bones are my absolute favorite, and I can't get enough of them.

If you're looking for a playful, snuggly companion who's eager to learn and grow with you, I might just be the perfect match. I can't wait to meet my forever family and share all my love and puppy energy!

Alize's adoption fee is $425 plus MN tax which covers her spay, vaccinations appropriate at the time of adoption, microchip and any additional medical care she may have needed while in the rescue's care.
We are a foster based rescue, we do not house dogs at a facility. Age and breed are NLR's best guess as we often don't know who or what mom and dad are. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website www.northernlakesrescue.org

Go meet their pets

Northern Lakes Rescue is foster based so all dogs are being fostered by amazing volunteers across the state of MN. Because of this, we require all meet and greets to be scheduled after an application is submitted.

Our focus after you apply is to get you scheduled to meet the dog within 3 to 7 days.

More about this rescue

Our Vision is to be a voice for those who are voiceless. We hear them with our hearts and give them a voice. Looking into the eyes of a rescued animal will speak volumes; watching those eyes light up will have an everlasting impact on you and the rescued animals.

We aren’t a typical rescue as we don’t take in dogs and put them in kennels until they’re adopted. All dogs we rescue are placed in loving foster homes that teach them to be the best dog they can be.

Our journey doesn’t end with adoption, either. We are here for you to support you in integrating your new member into your home, cheer new triumphs, and help with struggles.
