Remember in middle school going to the school dance and being nervous to ask your crush to dance with you? Then you understand Phil! This stubby fellow has so much love to give but is a little nervous at first. With love, treats and patience he is blossoming every day. He is what we lovingly call a low rider meaning he has tiny little legs that don`t seem to fit his body. He is so affectionate and demure your heart will melt into a puddle when you meet him. Our adoption center is located at 575 Woodland Avenue in Madison, New Jersey. We are open for adoption on a walk-in basis daily 1:30-6 pm (Thursdays 3-6 pm). If you arrive after 5:30, there is a possibility we may not be able to complete an adoption that day. Please note that we cannot put animals on hold.

St. Hubert’s Animal Welfare Center is a private, nonprofit organization dedicated to the humane treatment of animals. It operates animal shelters in Madison, North Branch and Ledgewood, New Jersey and one of the largest professional dog training and behavior centers in the country at its Madison campus. Humane Education and community outreach assistance are among its programs offered to the community. St. Hubert’s also provides animal control services by contract in several municipalities in proximity to the shelters.
