Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Meow there! My name is Rascal and I`m a shy but oh so sweet kitty. I may be a little nervous at first, but once you give me some time and cuddles, you`ll see that I`m just a big ol` softy. The shelter staff said I used to live with a lot of other cats, which is why I can be a little shy around new people. But I promise I`m not scary - I just need a quiet, loving home where I can come out of my shell and be the best feline friend ever. This time of year, I`d love to curl up by the fireplace with you and watch the snow fall. So if you`re looking for a snuggly sidekick to keep you company all winter long, I`m your guy! How did I get here? Transferred from Iredell County Animal Shelter where I was an owner surrender.
**I have tested positive for FeLV (feline leukemia) - please speak with an adoption specialist for more information.**
~My adoption fee is waived.~

More about this rescue
The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) of Wake County is dedicated to creating a more humane community where every adoptable animal has a home. Each year the SPCA rehomes over 3,500 animals through its innovative adoption programs.
The mission of the SPCA is to transform the lives of pets and people through protection, care, education, and adoption.
The SPCA of Wake County is a local, independent, non-profit organization that receives no government funding or tax dollars. We rely almost entirely on private donations to fund our annual operating budget of $3 million. The SPCA of Wake County is not affiliated with, nor do we receive funding from the ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals).
