Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Sable (tortoiseshell spayed female) was found in a Lowe's bucket outside of a vacant home. It took a few days to get used to living inside, but she quickly became socialized with her foster family. She gets along very well with her foster dog and cat siblings.
Sable is a playful, cuddly and energetic kitty. She loves playing with all kinds of toys and wrestling with her fellow kitten foster sister. She LOVES food, too!
Luna (black spayed female)was born on the street and is the only kitten who survived in her litter. Her confidence has grown since coming instead. She is a shy, quiet girl who likes her space. However, having her buddy Sable around has helped bring out the best in her personality. Luna and Sable love to play and cuddle. Luna also gets along with two older boys foster cats and foster beagle brother.
Luna loves FOOD, especially squeezable treats. She will cuddle with her foster humans after she eats, but most of the time she likes to sit quietly and observe her foster humans.
Both of these girls have been spayed, vaccinated for FVRCP and rabies, flea and worm treated and have been tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV.
Because they are such great buddies, we do what them to stay together if at all possible!

More about this rescue
Castaway Cats is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit cat rescue based in Bear, DE, comprised entirely of volunteers. We do not have a shelter and all of our cats are in foster homes. This rescue was started in 1992 in an effort to help the homeless and feral cats in our area. Each cat we rescue is spayed/neutered, tested for Feline Leukemia and AIDS, vaccinated with FVCRP and rabies shots, de-wormed and de-fleaed. Because all our cats are spayed or neutered before adoption, we do not adopt out kittens under the age of 12 weeks.
