Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Simon is a 4-year-old terrier who is a complete cuddle bug. He is looking for a quiet home with lots of love to give.

Mr. Simon is smart as a whip. He is working on his house training and is already crate trained. He only has an accident if you are gone for too long now. This little guy had it rough the first 3 years of his life as a he was found on the streets.

This sweet little boy is quite and affectionate and loves to cuddle and get belly rubs. He is also playful and energetic when he wants to be as he does love to play with his toys. He loves to play tug of war if you are up for the challenge.

He can be a little scared when too many people are jumping or running around me, and would love a home with older kids so he can feel safe. Once he warm up though and build the trust, he will let you take him anywhere and is easily redirected from anything that might be scary to him at first.

Their adoption process

1.
Submit Application

Required, We are an all volunteer organization, please allow 5-10 days for a response.

2.
Meet the Pet

At any point in the process, the potential adopter, and Foster my agree on a meeting. This may not occur until later in the process.

3.
Interview

Required Interview with Adopter, Adopter References, and Vet.

4.
Home Check

Required, Personal Interview, and confirm home is safe for the dog.

5.
Approve Application

Potential Adopter will receive a communication to confirm approval and any additional information.

6.
Take the Pet Home

At this point, payment of fee, and signed Adopter Agreement is required.

Additional adoption info

Our fees are listed with the pet bios. These fees are utilized for the SRC Medical Fund.
Prior to completion of the adoption process, we require a check of references, including a Vet check, and a home visit.
We encourage communication with the foster home so that questions can be answered.

SRC was established in 2004 with the mission of rescuing
mini-Schnauzers and Schnauzer mixes.
This includes all without limiting for age or medical condition.
Our motto is "No schnauzer left behind".
Our volunteers are committed and through much effort including, fostering have managed to place over 1,600 dogs since the inception of SRC.
