My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Herbie may be just a little bit adorable. And a little bit hungry. This itty bitty pittie is learning that love and treats can be trusted and we aren't going to hurt him. We don't know how he got those scars on his face but they are healing and his little tail is not so tightly tucked anymore. We will keep making him feel as loved and comfortable as much as we can. A home away from all the shelter stuff is really what he needs.

Came in as a stray on 11/25/24.
Found near 330 W. 109th Pl.

*Adoptions are walk-in 12-6 daily at 2741 S. Western Ave. Chicago, IL

*The building is open 12-7 daily and adoptions end one hour before closing. All visitors 18 and older must have a government issued ID.

*All household members should be present to meet dogs (especially those under 18 and any decision-makers). We recommend and can arrange dog to dog meet and greets for your current dog to meet a potential dog sibling at the shelter. You will need to show proof of up to date rabies vaccination for your dog or dogs.

*Slow, cautious, and appropriate introductions are recommended after you allow time for decompression for the shelter dog.
