My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Molly is available through our `Adopt From a Foster Home` program. Please email adopt@calgaryhumane.ca if you are interested in scheduling a meeting. Please do not make an appointment through our online booking calendar, as Molly is not available to meet on site.

Age: 5 years
Weight: 3.91 kg / 8.6 lb

Molly is a gorgeous long-haired lady who came to us with a rough past. In the comfort of a quiet foster home, she is enjoying long days snoozing on the couch or perched on her cat tree watching the world. Molly is slowly gaining confidence and hoping for a calm, loving home that she can relax in as she continues to learn trust. Her foster parent says she isn`t a lap cat *yet*, but could get there with time! Molly enjoys pets, but she prefers that her human servants ask request permission first, so she`ll likely do best in a home without young kids. Other cats could be okay; Molly has lived with them before!

More about this shelter

CONNECTING LIVES SINCE 1922

From our earliest beginning, Calgary Humane Society was more than a shelter. As Calgary’s first-established animal welfare organization, connecting the lives of animals and people while providing essential animal services to the community remains our central priority.

Today, Calgary Humane Society (CHS) shelters almost 5,000 homeless animals each year. In 1922 we set out to help as many animals as we can and we will continue to do so by fostering the values of respect, compassion, commitment, teamwork, integrity and innovation.

Our mission is to help as many animals as we can.

Our vision is using innovative strategies to lead, inspire, and educate in the humane treatment of companion animals, fostering an enlightened community that consistently demonstrates respect and compassion for all animals.

Our dream is a community where animals are valued, humanely treated, and live enriched lives.

Calgary Humane Society is committed to creating a better tomorrow through education and collaboration.
