This dog is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $200 if picked up in TN, $275 plus transport fee for out-of-state adoptions.
Meet Batman, the playful and happy 18-month-old mixed breed pup. We think he might be part Cattle Dog, German Shepherd, and Husky. Weighing in at 35 pounds, Batman is a bundle of energy who loves to entertain himself in the yard, play tug with other dogs or people, and explore his toy box several times a day. He often picks out toy to take to his dog bed or takes it out to the deck to relax. Batman has many endearing habits. He enjoys laying beside his humans in the evening, making sure his head touches their leg. He sometimes licks their hand when being petted and has been known to stand beside guests, licking their cheek before settling down. His timid but affectionate nature makes him a wonderful companion. Batman knows several commands, including "Come," "No," "Sit," and "Wait at the door." He is housetrained and quickly learned to use the dog door. He sleeps in an open crate and has been well-behaved when crated with a chew toy. Batman enjoys sharing toys with other dogs, taking trail walks, chasing balls (and usually bringing them back), and being petted. He smiles a lot, showcasing his joyful spirit. Even though he was very scared when he was first rescued, Batman has matured and become a happy and friendly dog. Batman has never shown aggression and gets along well with other dogs and children. He has been wonderful with foster puppies and enjoys spending time with a 13-year-old boy who visits. He walks well on a leash, is quiet in the car, and loves walking on trails. Batman would thrive in a calm home with another playful dog, a securely fenced yard, and a dog-savvy family willing to be patient as he adjusts to his new environment. He enjoys affection, often entertains himself with toys, and is very appreciative of regular meals and a stable routine. Batman is ready to bring joy and love to a new family who can offer him the same in return.

All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption.
