I’ve got that classic Shepherd intelligence and spirit, but I’ll admit I’m still a work in progress when it comes to manners. I’m an energetic pup who loves to stay active! Whether it’s running, playing, or exploring the great outdoors, I’m always ready for an adventure. I do well with other dogs and enjoy having a buddy to play with, but my strength and excitement mean I need an experienced handler who can help me channel my energy in positive ways. I’m eager to learn, and with a little training, I know I can become the best version of myself.
I’d do best in a home with a strong and confident adopter who understands the needs of a high-energy dog. I need someone who’s ready to work with me on leash manners—my last home wasn’t the best fit because my strength made walks a challenge. I’d love to have a doggy sibling to play with, but I haven’t spent much time around cats, so slow introductions would be important.
I’m a playful, loving, and intelligent dog who just needs the right person to guide me. With some training and patience, I’ll be the kind of dog that makes you proud. Macomb County Animal Control will verify proper preventative care history of past/current pets and verify home ownership/review a pet policy

Approve Application
Once an application is approved the adoption coordinator will schedule a time with the applicant/family to meet the pet.

Sign Adoption Contract
If a meet-and-greet is successful the family has an opportunity to finalize the adoption.

Pay Fee
Each pet has an established adoption fee and payment can be accepted in the form of credit/debit, check or cash.
