FOSTER PARENT COMMENTS: Meet one of the Charlie Brown Puppies. Woodstock is a snuggly blonde haired, blue eyed, 8 week old beauty looking for his forever home. He weighs around 11 lbs and might be 50+ when full grown.
Woodstock just had his first vet exam on 12/3 and is now ready to leave his foster home and sibling. He is ready to explore what life will bring him in his new adoptive home!! Could that home be yours??
He is a bit shy and timid, asking with his beautiful blue eyes for reassurance when it comes to new things. He loves treats and being loved on, he's especially fond of belly rubs and kisses on his soft ears! He is excellent at keeping his play pen clean and is learning to sit on command. He likes to play with his brother and children. Puppies this young may not be appropriate for very young children since they will play bite and nibble on hands and feet when given the opportunity.
EVERY DOG HAS A STORY: Woodstock had a rough beginning to life. He along with his 5 siblings and momma were brought into a rural shelter when Woodstock was only 2 weeks old. The momma dog was in such poor health, she had to sadly be euthanized. A rescue group took the puppies and bottle fed them until they could were old enough to move into Best Friend Pet Adoption. They are all in loving foster homes now and are looking forward to a much better life now.

ADOPTING A YOUNG PUPPY FROM BFPA: Ideally you live no further than a 30-mile radius from the Triangle area of North Carolina, as you must be close enough for us to meet all the medical procedures we cover before final adoption. We may consider adoptions that are within an hours drive IF the adopter is willing to come to the Raleigh/Cary area for all medical care until the puppy is neutered at around 6 months of age.
We prefer to adopt young puppies to people who have previous experience owning a dog and live in a single family house rather than an apartment, condo or townhome. Puppies can be vocal when left alone and shared walls are sometimes an issue. Any children in the home under 6 years old should have experience living with a dog in their home.
NOTE: Since Woodstock has only had one vaccine, he is still susceptible to diseases. He cannot live in any multifamily dwelling without his own dedicated yard. Any adopter must have their own yard and must keep him only in their home and yard until the second vaccine in early January. He cannot travel over the holiday season.
