Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Meet Boots! He`s a darling, one-year-old, 41.6-pound American Blue Heeler who was surrendered to the shelter because his owners could no longer care for him. He`s an energetic boy who loves the outdoors. His favorite activities are adventures with good smells and lots of space to explore! He enjoys all toys and forms of playing but especially likes to play fetch! Boots previously lived with children and another dog, but he will require a meet and greet with your resident pups to ensure they can be buddies! This smart boy is motivated to learn and is looking for someone to help him get the hang of potty training and some basic commands. He`s doing a great job with `sit` at the shelter!
Boots is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on his vaccines. You can visit him at the shelter Tuesdays through Sundays from 8:30 to 5:00 PM!

We strive to ensure a safe, healthy, and loving environment that will provide temporary shelter for abandoned, stray, and surrendered animals and to find each animal a new and prosperous home.
The Babinski Foundation is a private 501c3 animal shelter located in Pequot Lakes, MN. We are a safe place to surrender dogs and cats. We also are a stray drop-off facility for stray cats and dogs.
OUR STORY
The Babinski Foundation was established in 2010 by Donald and Elizabeth Babinski owners and founders of Babinski Properties which owns multifamily housing in Minnesota, Florida and South Dakota. He and his wife Elizabeth were working tirelessly to get the animal shelter opened which was their dream, but Donald Babinski passed away August 11th, 2014 before the shelter could open. Elizabeth continued where they left off and the Foundation opened in January 2016 in Pequot Lakes, MN. Elizabeth passed away on November 13th, 2020. Donald and Elizabeth’s dream was finally realized, and Donald and Elizabeth’s surviving family and friends will continue to work hard to fulfill their mission.
