My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Blueberry came into our care in September 2024. She is one of our FIV+ residents here at Valley Animal Center which means their little immune systems are not as strong as a normal cat's would be. This also means they would have to be INDOOR ONLY cats and are reccomended to have normal vet check-ups every 6 months. This does not affect her lifespan at all and she is still a very healthy girl! She would need to go to a home with another FIV+ cat or no other cats at all to not further spread FIV. She will follow you around and beg for pets and cuddles! Ask the staff for more details if you would like to give this little girl a home to cuddle you in!

If you are interested in meeting Blueberry, please submit an application at www.valleyanimal.org

At Valley Animal Center our mission is to unite dogs and cats with loving people.

More about this shelter

Valley Animal Center houses thousands of dogs and cats annually until they are placed in loving homes. Majority of our shelter animals are rescued from local animal control agencies who have no more space for their animals. Even animals who have been abused, mistreated, abandoned, and injured are cared for and nurtured until a loving home is ready to adopt them.

We are easily accessible to the residents of the entire six-county region it serves. Even individuals from out of the area and out of state have come to Valley Animal Center to adopt animals from us and utilize our clinic services.

Our mission is to unite dogs and cat with loving people but it does not simply end at the adoption process. With our low-cost clinic, a membership-based dog park, and humane education resources found on our website, we want to ensure our community has easy access to resources that will help them along in their pet ownership journey.
