My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Archie is a domestic shorthair who was brought to us in September 2024 after being surrendered due to his owner not being able to care for him anymore.
His first week was pretty rough and he hid most of the time but, with some help from staff and volunteers, this boy sits at the door waiting for the next person to offer affection! Archie is such a sweetheart and LOVES to cuddle! You may also notice that he has a kink in his tail as well, this was something that most likely happened as a kitten or while he was very young due to the way it has healed but, it does not bother him or cause him any pain. He gets along well with other cats but will need a very slow introduction to whatever resident pet he will be meeting to ensure that they get a chance to adjust to each other confidently.

If you are interested in meeting Archie, please submit an application at www.valleyanimal.org

At Valley Animal Center our mission is to unite dogs and cats with loving people.

More about this shelter

Valley Animal Center houses thousands of dogs and cats annually until they are placed in loving homes. Majority of our shelter animals are rescued from local animal control agencies who have no more space for their animals. Even animals who have been abused, mistreated, abandoned, and injured are cared for and nurtured until a loving home is ready to adopt them.

We are easily accessible to the residents of the entire six-county region it serves. Even individuals from out of the area and out of state have come to Valley Animal Center to adopt animals from us and utilize our clinic services.

Our mission is to unite dogs and cat with loving people but it does not simply end at the adoption process. With our low-cost clinic, a membership-based dog park, and humane education resources found on our website, we want to ensure our community has easy access to resources that will help them along in their pet ownership journey.
