My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Miss Stacy was brought into our care after being dumped on our property.
She was terrified at first but with a little love from staff, she gained A LOT of confidence(maybe too much)
She is very independent minded but dependent at heart. She wants everything her way and is a kitty who knows how to call the shots! While she is more lenient with letting humans get their way, she is boss kitty and know how to correct the young cats without being too mean or rough about it. She is very playful with other kitties and people but can get overstimulated quickly and that's when she starts to get bossy. If you're looking for a bestfriend who has a big personality and attachment style, consider taking Stacy home!

At Valley Animal Center our mission is to unite dogs and cats with loving people.

More about this shelter

Valley Animal Center houses thousands of dogs and cats annually until they are placed in loving homes. Majority of our shelter animals are rescued from local animal control agencies who have no more space for their animals. Even animals who have been abused, mistreated, abandoned, and injured are cared for and nurtured until a loving home is ready to adopt them.

We are easily accessible to the residents of the entire six-county region it serves. Even individuals from out of the area and out of state have come to Valley Animal Center to adopt animals from us and utilize our clinic services.

Our mission is to unite dogs and cat with loving people but it does not simply end at the adoption process. With our low-cost clinic, a membership-based dog park, and humane education resources found on our website, we want to ensure our community has easy access to resources that will help them along in their pet ownership journey.
