My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Freddie, the charming 3-year-and-8-month-old husky who's ready to embark on his next big adventure! Freddie spent over 200 days at the Yakima Humane Society, where he made quite a name for himself as the ultimate dog buddy—so much so that he became the go-to guy for testing the compatibility of other shelter dogs.

Weighing in at 61 lbs, Freddie is a handsome fellow with a striking blue eye and a warm brown one. He’s wonderfully kid-friendly and has a laid-back, quiet demeanor—not your typical chatty husky. While he knows how to sit, Freddie has the classic husky streak of independence, making him a delightful mix of smarts and stubbornness.

He’s crate-trained, neutered, and up-to-date on vaccines, making him ready for his forever home. However, Freddie’s curiosity around cats means he’s looking for a cat-free household. If you’re seeking a loyal, friendly, and unique companion, Freddie might just be your perfect match!

We have adoption events each Saturday at Wet Noses Dry Paws in Tacoma (411 Fawcett Ave Tacoma) from 2-4. Not all dogs listed will be attending but it is a great time to come and socialize with them in a play setting.

More about this rescue

501c3 non-profit l est 2019 l

We have been fostering dogs since early 2019 through various rescues.

What better way to showcase them then in a playful, happy, loving environment with other loving dogs in our community.

Recently we have started changing things as we are looking for our pups to go into foster homes/foster to adopt.

We typically fly dogs in from over capacity shelters in Texas, drive puppers over from Yakima, and still have an amazing relationship with a partnering rescue in Mexico.
