Hi my name is Sable... part black lab and part slobber goblin land seal snugglemuffin and I am looking for my forever home! Now don't get me wrong...this foster lady's place is super awesome and I totally love it here... but I am searching for a soul mate...my one and only...the family who will give me my one wish.... a place to call home! My short life started out pretty scary when I was left wandering the streets on my own and wound up in a shelter,but the people there were so nice and they loved me so much and knew I was special so they made sure I landed here in Tennessee safe and sound... I got to take an 8 hr car trip with so many new people kissing me and holding me...totally worth it!!! Now I have so many new things to learn and do! Hey....Did you know there are these things called sofas? Omg you haveeeee to get one! They are super squishy and foster lady and my foster sister and brother and foster daddy will lie on it with me and we will all sleep and cuddle and squish together....I try to get as close to foster mama as I can...based on the squeals she makes she seems to enjoy my entire body weight on her chest and my snoot booping her cheeks. I want to make her happy so I also include as many kisses as I can while we are squishing. I have also learned about cats...we have 2 of them here...one is quite spicy and one likes to kiss me... I don't want to hurt spicy kitties feelings but the kiss kitty is my favorite. I try to love them both equally but spicy is a wee bit scary. They both smell really nice and kissy kitty lets me snort his fur...always a welcome trait if you ask me. I have also met a lot of new humans ... I LOOOVVEEE humans... every single one of them.. I have yet to have found one that isn't fabulous and I will always make sure to hug them tightly with my front legs and wrap myself around them to keep them close to me.... I like having a human close by... sometimes I get nervous about new places and humans help me find my way around so I know it's safe. Once I figure out the safe path I am totally fine though.... a little secret... this place I'm staying right now has this opening in the door that leads to the OUTSIDE.... yeah...seriously..I am able to just let myself out to potty anytime I want. They showed it to me the first time and after that I got so excited I did zoomies and now I use it all the time. Foster mommy tells me I am very very smart, I am learning stairs, and I am even tolerating that annoying string she hooks to me when we go places... she calls it "walkies".. I call it an interruption of couch squishy time! There are lots of toys here and foster brother and sister share them with me and we have so much fun playing... and we get to eat two times a day...every day... seriously I'm not kidding...we all eat together and it makes me so happy! I share my new toys and kibble with them and they share with me.... we love each other! I also love yard play time with my foster family and I know how to be so gentle with my toys and my playtime. Foster mommy keeps telling me I am going to be perfect for any family, but she told me to be really honest with my wish list so here it goes! First I really want a family who will cuddle me, hold me, hug me, smooch me, let me basically ride around inside their skin so I can be as close as possible at every moment of the day just in case couch squishy time comes around for any random reason. I am not super high energy so I would be fine with a family who likes to chill (cuddle) and take the occasional rope drag around the block with me. If you insist on leaving the cuddle position I will however partake in any event or activity you are inspired to do with me! I travel really well and am a great co pilot but new situations take patience since I can't see and I need a few minutes for you to show me I'm safe! I would love it if you were home with me a lot, and a furry brother or sister would be amazing! I am very gentle and while I don't know what age means the shelter said I was 10 months old... but the vet says I may be older? I am definitely old enough to understand training commands and am obsessed with this new game foster mama plays where if I do what she asks she gives me a cookie....yeah...all I have to do is what she says and the lady gives me treats! It's blowing my mind...I love it! I never ever have accidents inside and once I am shown how to ask to go where you want me to go I am perfect!I am fine with a loud crazy household...noises don't startle me and I love the sounds of my family around me. I don't feel the need to say much but I can bark... I just really never do...foster brother and sister do plenty of talking for me! I can have a house with stairs... I am very brave and have already mastered short steps and mapped my whole house and yard in 2 days! I am conquering the big staircase to go to bed upstairs with the family because foster mommy says couch squishes are not great for sleep (I don't know what she is talking about.....she says I snore and my feet smell like fritos!) I will sleep in a kennel but I prefer skin to skin so I can smell you and hug you. I would be happy with any size family and any age... foster mommy has not taken me to meet little humans but I have heard the little cries of them on TV and I try to tell her I love that by giving her my "signature magic head tilt" and wagging my tail like crazy! So she promises to take me to meet some later this month. Foster mommy says I am a Heartbreaker and foster grandma says my family is going to get the best boy she has ever known...foster grandma is super funny because she gives me belly sherberts and it makes me laugh!!! Then she sits and holds my hand and kisses my head. Can I add that to my wishlist too? I really like that! I hope you will ask about me... I am beyond ready to bond with my forever. I have so much love to give and I am waiting and wishing so hard!!! I will be the best thing you ever did....I promise! Love sable the squishmaster.

All of our adult dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and on heartworm and flea/tick preventive. All puppies are up to date on vaccinations, microchipped and on heartworm and flea/tick preventive.
We ask a $400 adoption fee. This does not begin to cover the vet work we do on our dogs, which is why we are always fundraising! For unaltered dogs (such as puppies too young to be spayed/neutered prior to adoption), we now require an additional $100 spay/neuter deposit that is refundable upon BDRA receiving proof of spay/neuter and rabies vaccination.
