Meet Heather, a sweet 2-year-old looking for her forever home! Weighing in at 43 lbs, Heather is almost at her ideal weight and is on the path to becoming her healthiest self. This lovely girl is friendly but can be a bit shy at first. However, once she feels safe and comfortable, Heather’s playful nature begins to shine through! Heather has a strong desire to learn and is eager to master basic commands. She has been through quite a lot in her young life, but thanks to veterinary care, kennel rest, and a steady feeding schedule, she is now feeling fantastic and walks wonderfully on a leash. While Heather can be a bit protective of her food due to past experiences with malnourishment, she would thrive in a home with older children or adults who understand her needs. Heather is searching for a patient and loving family who can help her overcome her shyness, teach her new things, and watch her personality blossom. If you have a heart for a gentle soul like Heather, come meet her at our shelter. She’s ready to bring joy and companionship to the right home!
Breed is based on physical features. All shelter animals are considered to be a mixture of breeds.

More about this shelter
Springdale Animal Services' mission is to provide shelter and care to the thousands of stray, abandoned, abused, and neglected animals in need every year. We reunite lost pets with their owners, and place many that are homeless in caring, permanent homes. We strive to ensure the welfare and public safety of our community and its animals through education of our citizens and enforcement of our ordinances. We promote spaying/neutering all domestic animals at the earliest appropriate age, as a means of reducing their overpopulation.
