This little guy is as sunny as his name! August is a male Lab mix puppy who was found with his littermates, running around near a river with no idea how close they were to danger. Thankfully, we stepped in just in time to give them the chance at a safe and happy future. August is everything you’d want in a puppy: fun-loving, adorable, and full of joy! He’s great with other dogs and would love a home where he can romp, play, and just be his silly, cute self. Whether he’s chasing a toy or snuggling up for a nap, August is sure to steal your heart. SNARR requires a $150 deposit in addition to your adoption fee, as well as a strictly enforced Spay/Neuter Contract stating you will have this dog altered within 6 months of adoption. An application, agreement, personal reference check, vet reference check and home visit are required.

Adoption fees are below. All of our animals are microchipped, up to date on vaccines and fully vetted.

Puppies under 1 year : $495
Adults 1-9 years: $375
Adults 9+ years: $300
Special Needs Animals: dependant on specific animal and his or her needs

ADDITIONAL DEPOSIT of $125 for spay/ neuter for all unaltered dogs unless the spay/neuter

We are located at 46 Sodom Road, Brewster, NY. You can come stop by 7 days a week from 11am-4pm. While we have 15-18 dogs housed at our adoption center, the majority of our dogs are located in private foster homes.

SNARR Northeast Animal Rescue's mission is "Giving Hope to the Hopeless.” SNARR stands for Special Needs Animal Rescue and Rehabilitation. We do focus on animals with special needs but we also rescue perfectly healthy dogs as well! SNARR works with municipal shelters all over the country to save animals at risk for being euthanized. Our dogs (and cats) are all in foster homes prior to being adopted.
