My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi New Friend, my name is Lainey Loo and I'm very happy to meet you! I'm a young girl about a year old who still has some puppy energy. I have an off button to calm down. I love gentle pets and to give kisses. I weigh around 77 pounds.
I'm learning my manners, including how to sit and how to keep four paws on the floor. I like to give hugs so this is hard for me, however I'm doing better every day.
I do best as an only dog. I came in with my brother and we could get pretty rough and tumble. Of the two of us I like to take have the lead. I'm always the first to come say hello, and the first to try any new thing.

I can be a little on the timid side when trying new things. Especially going for car rides. I warm up quickly to people and with positive reinforcement I easily conquer my fears of the unknown.
I'm food motivated and eager to please. That will make training a breeze for my new person.
If you are interested in meeting me please fill out an adoption application.

More about this shelter

Tillamook K9 Rescue is the main provider to assist Law Enforcement with found dogs throughout Tillamook County.

If Law Enforcement responds to an emergency where an owner may need to be taken to the hospital for treatment or possibly arrested, any dogs in residence will be delivered to the kennel for their safety and care. If a dog needs to be trapped we will work with the community and Law Enforcement to make sure that dog has a safe place to decompress while we search for their owner.

We rely deeply on the help of our volunteers to care for the dogs, and our staff handles intake, adoptions and releases. We hold the animals for 7 days and if we aren't able to find the owners we then place them up for adoption. While a dog is in our care they receive 2 meals a day, any needed medical attention, and our volunteers come out to the rescue for multiple shifts throughout the day to ensure the dogs are socialized, exercised and loved.
