What is Rehome?
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Tex is a beautiful, sweet, energetic boy! He is 2 1/2 years old, about 50 pounds, loves his sisters and would love to stay with them, but he'd be okay without them as long as he was in a loving home with lots of room to play and people or other dogs to play with! He's an Australian Shepherd, so if you're not familiar with the breed, please look them up and make sure you're ready to take them on! He is athletic, loves the water, looks for direction, and aims to please! He loves playing fetch and loves people, though he needs a securely fenced yard. He was not neutered because he was intended to be bred, but obviously it would be great to get him neutered to reduce the number of homeless puppies.
His dad is heartbroken to give him up, along with his sisters, but health and work issues are making it impossible to give them the home they deserve.
Please note that we will require a questionnaire so we can be sure he's in the right home. The rehoming fee will go to charity.
Thank you!
