My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, My name is BEAN. I am an 8 lbs one year old toy poodle. My job is to melt your heart and fill you with kisses. I love to cuddle and I thrive off of belly rubs. I am looking to be your center of attention. Although I like nothing more then a cozy bed and PJs to relax. I also enjoy a good run. I have a heart of gold and would love to lounge in the sun by your side.Sleeps next to my bed in a crate( because of his leg).
Yes good with babies. Not sure about cats. Yes to dogs (only met two so far). Favourite things, chew bones and eat treats. Energy : calm in the house, will run circles in the BK yard now that his legs is getting better. No issues being in crate, but not happy when the door is closed. But getting better (treats and bones help). Range of motion therapy is going well. It would have to be continued. Just a few times per day. Takes just a few mins. But if u lay him on his back on your outstretched legs. He is good to go. May even fall asleep:). Not sure about condo. As he is used to just going out of our back door. Had a couple accidents in the house. But because he is treat driven we were able to train him to go outside. Took 2 days. No accidents at night..Ideal family would have to have older kids. Calm environment

Someone who is working from home or retired would be best. But would be ok with someone that works regularly day.

He would be anxious at first but warms up quick.Recovery is going well. He is recovering well. It was like wow I can walk and run!! But we still have to take things slow. This is why he needs down time. I have taken him out the front door, carrying him because of his leg. Getting him used to the idea of the neighborhood. This coming week we will attempt a small walk. At home, Bean is a happy, easy-going guy who loves his cozy space. He sleeps in a crate next to his foster’s bed while he continues his recovery, but he's slowly getting more comfortable with the crate. Though he’s not fond of the crate door being closed, treats and chew bones help him settle. His therapy, which only takes a few minutes a day, is going well, and he's even started trying to run circles in the backyard as his leg heals! He’s recovering with great enthusiasm—"Wow, I can walk and run!"—but we're still taking things slow to ensure his leg fully heals. A short walk is on the horizon, and he’s been getting used to the neighborhood with some help from his foster family.
Bean is wonderful with people, and enjoys the company of other dogs (he’s met a few so far). While he hasn’t met cats yet, his gentle personality suggests that with the right introductions, he’ll adjust well. Bean is fully house-trained, with only a couple of accidents early on. Thanks to his love of treats, he quickly learned to go outside, and he’s had no accidents at night!
Bean’s ideal home would be a calm environment with older children, and he would thrive in a family where someone is home most of the time—ideally, someone who works from home. He’ll need a family who can continue his therapy, give him lots of belly rubs and cuddles, and provide a comfy, cozy bed. A family who can shower him with love and attention will make him the happiest little dog in the world!
Bean may be small in size, but his heart is gigantic! His favorite things include chew bones, treats, belly rubs, and being close to his people. He loves cuddling up in cozy PJs and soaking up the sun while relaxing by your side. If you’re looking for a loving companion who will melt your heart with kisses and loyalty, Bean is the perfect match for you!
